I didn't sort of need to become that actively involved because it was sort of fairly safely assumed that I would need extra time and I think I applied and signed the various forms. I did request on a couple of occasions actually that I worked with the same person, for the exam that I had done that module with. Not so they could tell me all the answers, but purely because if you're dictating to somebody that has no knowledge at all of what you're saying, and they have to ask you how to spell every word, then you need extra time on top of that. So be aware of the argument of “Well you shouldn't have somebody with you that knows the subject, because you might cheat”. One. Well they should trust you anyway by that level, because kind of we're not at school are we? But two. If they know nothing, then it's a bit like trying to explain your profession to somebody so they can write it down in a foreign language. And actually you don't get anywhere fast.
