Support

During their residence, Fellows will be supported within a faculty, school or department of The Open University. It is strongly recommended that you contact the host department to negotiate the details of your project. The motivation to work independently will help ensure a successful Fellowship programme for each individual. Fellows will also be encouraged to offer a workshop or seminar at the end of their time at the School.

Successful applicants will have their international travel, accommodation and daily living expenses paid for the duration of the Fellowship. Each Fellowship provides the following:

  • Cost of economy return air travel and reasonable expenses from successful applicants’ home countries.
  • A monthly accommodation allowance and assistance with finding accommodation in lodgings with convenient access to The Open University’s Milton Keynes campus.
  • A monthly subsistence allowance for the duration of the Fellowship.
  • Allowance for work-associated local travel.
