Academia.edu is a social networking site for researchers, where you can create a profile and follow other researchers. It is similar to ResearchGate.

Interactions are very much focussed around sharing research papers, including inviting others to comment on drafts in ‘sessions’. As with ResearchGate, users should check their publisher’s terms and conditions before uploading the full text of any publications to the site.
