How can I check whether an item is available in the library?

The Library catalogue allows you to search the physical and online collections held by the Open University Library in Milton Keynes.

If you are a student who is unable to visit the Library you are advised to restrict your search to online collections by clicking on 'Basic Search' and selecting 'ebook' or 'ejournal' in the 'Limit To:' drop down menu as appropriate.

To search for a particular item:
1. Go to the Open University Library catalogue.
2. Choose the Basic search option.
3. Enter your search terms (e.g. title or author) into the 'Search' box.
4. Alter the 'Limit To:' drop down menu as appropriate.
5. Select 'Search'. If the item is part of our collection your results will show the bibliographic details.

For an ebook you will see the Access link which will allow you to access this book online. For a print book the Status information will show you whether this book is on the shelf or already out to another user.
