How do I add or remove a resource from MyOpenLibrary?

This service is in the process of being withdrawn, although there are still some modules currently using it.

In addition to the resources selected by the module team, you can add further resources of your choice to the MyOpenLibrary home page.

To add a resource:

1. Go to your MyOpenLibrary home page.
2. Select 'customise' in the heading of the appropriate section. For example, to add further electronic journals to your MyOpenLibrary use 'customise' in the 'ejournals' heading.
3. View the resources selected by the module team (which are indicated by a red star and cannot be removed from your page). You can choose to

  • browse to a specific ejournal using the alphabetical list.
  • search for an ejournal using the 'Search for an ejournal:' box.
  • view an alphabetical list of ejournals by selecting 'All journals listed alphabetically by title'.
  • view 'Discipline-specific ejournals' (resources organised by subject or module code).

4. Select the resource(s) you want to add to your page by checking the box next to the name of the item you wish to add. A tick will appear in the box.
5. Choose 'Submit' to add these to your MyOpenLibrary.
6. To return to your MyOpenlibrary home page select 'Return To MyOpenLibrary'.

To remove a resource:

1. Go to your MyOpenLibrary home page.
2. Select 'customise' in the heading of the appropriate section. For example, to add further electronic journals to your MyOpenLibrary use 'customise' in the 'ejournals' heading.
3. De-select the item you wish to remove by removing the tick from the tick box.
4. Choose 'Submit' to remove the item.
5. To return to your MyOpenlibrary home page select 'Return To MyOpenLibrary'.
N.B. you can not remove the original resources indicated by a red star.
