Browsing pre-selected resources for your subject
The Selected resources for your study pages on the library website are the best place to start looking for information on a subject. Books, journals, databases and websites have been chosen to give you an idea of what is available. This is not a complete listing of all possible OU Library resources and you may need to search further.
- Choose the appropriate heading and sub-heading for your subject
- Select the link for the type of resource you are interested in (ejournal, ebook or database)
- You will see a list of direct links to resources.
Searching further
If you don’t find the book or journal you are looking for, or you want to find something for an essay, assignment or research project, you will need to search one of the library collections of books or journals.
- See Getting started with the online library for a beginner's guide to information resources
- If you are studying at 1st or 2nd levels, see Finding information for your assignment for more guidance about the process of searching for and evaluating information.
- If you have the details of a specific item, see How do I get access to a particular article?, How do I search for ebooks?, or How do I search for theses? depending on the type of item you want.
