Library website look and feel refresh on 24 July 2018

The Library website (www.open.ac.uk/library) will be updated to a new look and feel on Tuesday 24 July. The website navigation and content will remain the same, only the appearance will change. The new theme uses bolder blocks of colour, consistent with other OU sites. 

Benefits of the new theme include a cleaner and fresher look than the current theme, with better contrast which makes it easier to find key elements on the page.

• URLs of pages on the site
• Where pages are in the menus
• The content

What has changed

• The homepage layout 
• Events are more eye-catching due to the use of a calendar graphic everywhere they appear on the site.
• Forms are more accessible for screen reader and keyboard users
