Library website refresh: updating the look and feel

The Library website (www.open.ac.uk/library) will be updated to a new look and feel in the next few weeks. The website navigation and content will remain the same, only the appearance will change. The new theme uses bolder blocks of colour, consistent with other OU sites.

Benefits of the new theme include a cleaner and fresher look than the current theme, with better contrast which makes it easier to find key elements on the page.

As part of applying the new theme we have changed the homepage layout to make it clearer. You can preview the new layout on our Beta Homepage.

The Library Search tool will also have a new look and feel in early August. More about the new Library Search look and feel.
