Open Access Week 24 – 30 October: getting recognition for your research

[[[image-0 medium right]]]Do you want to find out how to publish your research data and get a permanent citable DOI for it?  Or maybe you want to distinguish yourself and your research from other researchers.

As part of Global Open Access Week, Library Services will be exploring how researchers can get more recognition for their work and the benefits of using time-saving tools.  Sessions, open to all will be held im the Library, Walton Hall, Milton Keynes:

Open Research Data & Open Research Data Online (ORDO)
Wendy Mears (Research Support Librarian) will be introducing the new research data store that enables you to publish completed research data and get a permanent, citable DOI for your work.

Claiming your research publications: ORCIDs at the OU
Chris Biggs (Research Support Librarian) will give an introduction to Open Researcher & Contributor IDs (ORCIDs). We will explore why they are a good idea and the time saving benefits for researchers.
