OU Students Association conference 17-19 June

Around 400 OU students from all over the UK and Europe will be visiting the campus in Milton Keynes between 17th and 19th June for the OU Students Association (OUSA) biennial conference.

So that all OU students can join in with conference we are running some online events:

  • There will be an extra online training session in OU Live on Wednesday 15th June at 7-8pm. The topic is an Introduction to Library Services.
  • We are running a twitter competition over conference weekend. Send @OU_Library a tweet telling/showing us where you access the online library from. The best tweet will win a £20 amazon voucher!
  • We devised this fun quick quiz especially for conference: Who is your OU Spirit Librarian? Answer the questions to find out which OU Librarian is your perfect match for study support. And get some practical help on using the online library at the same time!

If you are attending in person, look out for the Library stand in the Jennie Lee Building where you can come and chat to a librarian, pick up a few goodies, and see what services and resources we offer.  We will be running two face to face workshops on Saturday afternoon. The first is a popular topic with students: ‘Why and how to reference using the OU Harvard style’. This will be followed by ‘Digital skills for study and beyond’. For more information about these workshops, see the conference programme.

Whether you’re attending in person or joining in online we hope you enjoy conference!
