This began when she worked as a volunteer adult literacy tutor in Lancashire in the mid-1970s and was fostered through teaching apprentices in further education colleges.

Is an enthusiastic member of a Pub Quiz team in Derbyshire, an English county which takes informal learning and enjoyment seriously!
