Despite the funding period of the CETL initiative coming to a close at the end of July 2010, its Teaching Fellows are still active in the dissemination of their project work.
COLMSCT and piCETL Teaching Fellow, Sally Jordan, is attending several conferences over the summer. She had hoped to present a paper on her work with short-answer free-text questions (which combines outcomes from the two projects whose links are given on the right) at the International Computer Aided Assessment (CAA) Conference which was held in Southampton in July. However, a return to her substantive post as Staff Tutor in Science at the Open University in the East of England meant that Sally didn’t get time to write the paper, so she submitted a poster about her work instead, and was delighted when this received the conference’s ‘Best Poster Award.’
Sally enjoyed the CAA Conference and was delighted that other people are beginning to undertake serious research into the impact of e-assessment on learning.
