The theme of the conference is the use of Cultural Historical Activity Theory for research and development of workplaces and its implications for researchers and practitioners of practice related learning

Building on the Activity Theory and Practice Learning conference June 2009, this PBPL's final conference, Activity Theory and Practice Learning, took place on 10th and 11th March 2010

In order to achieve its aims, PBPL worked with individuals and other organisations with an interest and/or expertise in practice-based professional learning

Funded projects and investigations

Throughout its life, PBPL funded a series of projects and investigations.  These were usually carried out by Open University colleagues but some were carried out collaboratively with other Universities and institutions.

PBPL Special interest groups

PBPL Special Interest Groups provided informal cross faculty discussion opportunities for colleagues with an interest in a specific aspect of practice-based learning

Practice learning topics

Practice learning topics (PLT) is a collation of the work produced by a variety of PBPL investigations and projects and other useful resources from the Faculty of Health and Social Care.
