Description

Configuring Life Histories was a PBPL-CETL funded project that ran from April 2007 to April 2008. It focused on how students approached reflection on a variety of Open University courses. The research identified four important themes. First, students go on a variety of reflective journeys. Second, there is great diversity in relation to how students experience and interpret reflection. Third, the relation of learning to practice varies considerably. Finally, there is a range in individual orientations to reflection. The research led to consideration of the implications for course design and teaching in relation to reflection.
