OU students can be found almost everywhere, and getting together is a great way to share the highs and lows of studying!

  • Meet new friends and study buddies
  • Share study tips
  • Have fun!

Check for upcoming meet-ups here. If there isn’t a meet-up running near you, we can help you promote a new event for students in your area through Social Media and on our website.

If you decide to run a meet-up event let us know here and we'll send you a Support Pack for new organisers. For further support email

In the meantime, check out these meet-up tips from veteran student organisers!

The Big Feb Meet-Up on 25th February 2017

Save this date! We’d like to invite you to get involved in a special event taking place across the UK (and beyond) on Saturday 25th February  We’re encouraging students to run and attend meet-ups simultaneously on this date to be in with a chance of winning prizes and even linking up online.

If you’d be interested in meeting with local students in a coffee shop, pub (or anywhere you fancy!) as part of the Big Feb Meet-Up on 25th, we’ll send you a Support Pack with tips on how to make your first meet-up a success and help you promote the event on our website and on social media.

Get in touch with local OU students online

To get a feel for where students are keen to meet in your area why not run a poll on your region’s Facebook page, post on your region’s forum (some are livelier than others!) or tweet your local account.
