  • History Society Full Day Course

    Description

    As a departure from previous years there is to be a full day course at Forge Mill Needle Museum at Redditch, in Worcestershire on the 22nd April 2017 There are to be four eminent historians talking about their respective fields of study. Lunch will be included in the cost of the event. There will also be the opportunity to visit the adjacent Mill and or Bordesley Abbey.

    Several other events are planned for 2017 including visits to the Motor Museum in Coventry, the National Archives, the Richard 111 exhibition in Leicester and a tour of Warwick following the path of the 1694 fire. One of our members is organising an event in Scotland


  • Norwich OU Students Coffee & Chat

    Description

    This is an event for OU students. Please come along to meet fellow Open University Students, grab a coffee and a chat. The venue is inside the Forum, near the BBC and Library. It is also wheelchair accessible. We will have a sign and balloons on our table to identify ourselves.

    This is the third event this year and is repeated monthly due to its success. Come along and meet fellow students in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

    Just turn up, have a drink, a snack, a chat, stay as long as you wish. This is an opportunity to meet fellow students.
    Either or both co-hosts, Sarah and Leiran, will be there to meet and greet. They can be contacted via the East Midlands Facepage of the VLE forum.

    This will be advertised as an event at beginning of month on the East Midlands Facebook site.

    This is a regular event that will will take place on the last Saturday of the month.

  • PLEXUS Manchester Meet Up

    Description

    An opportunity to join the PLEXUS Committee, members of PLEXUS and the USSU LGBTQI Society for a chat over a drink before heading into Manchester's Gay Village.

    The Students' Union is relatively cheap selling a selection of beverages including alcholic. There is also 25% off food throughout the weekend.

    Upon arival to the University of Salford, follow signs for University House - direct path from Salford Crescent Train Station.

    On arrival - go up the stairs or take the lift on the right hand side to access Atmosphere.

    This event is open to all @OUStudents not just those members of PLEXUS
