When an OU Student is in need of some informal advice or support – who better to call on than a fellow OU Student!
Need some informal support with problems that are affecting your ability to study? Maybe you have a specific query; it could be personal, financial, juggling work & family commitments, health problems – anything! Or you might feel you could benefit from some long-term support from a fellow O U Student who’s already experienced the slings and arrows of O U Study? Someone who’s been through the ups and downs of what it means to be a student of our University. Then look no further because Peer Support Online is here to help you.
This OUSA service, which was established back in 2001, has recently been revived and is now open for business in its new home. It’s completely confidential and provided by volunteers who are all fellow students. They WON’T tell you what to do, or expect you to listen to their problems. But they WILL offer you access to their wealth of experience of OU study and life, as well as providing useful contacts and information.
If it’s moral support that you’re missing, whether short-term or throughout your course, they can provide that too.
Feel this is just what you’ve been looking for? Then drop them a line at ousa-ps-admin@open.ac.uk They’ll try to make email contact with you as soon as possible and will do their best to help whether it’s providing some one to one encouragement, providing some answers to your questions, or putting you in touch with others who might help.
Remember a problem shared is a problem halved.
