Students can apply for support for study costs, including a computer, via the Access to Learning Fund standard application form – available from www.open.ac.uk/financialsupport.
Support is limited: each case will be considered individually and priority will be given to those students with the greatest need.
You could be eligible for a generous course grant which will cover the cost of buying a computer.

Discretionary Funds are available and if you are in financial hardship you could be eligible for assistance to buy computing equipment. On Financial support in Scotland you will see that this funding can be used for computing and internet costs.
