Beccy Dresden is a Senior TEL Designer in the Learning & Teaching Innovation portfolio at The Open University.
The technology-enhanced learning (TEL) team supports faculty and media specialist colleagues through the module and qualification development and production process, to help make learning design aspirations a reality. We collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. Library Services and the Institute of Educational Technology (IET)) to share best practice across the entire student experience. Together, we use evidence to evaluate what works and what doesn't to build world-class, student-centred learning.
I have a particular interest in the role of social media (especially Twitter) – not only in terms of how it could be used to enhance the attraction, progression and retention of students, but also around increasing the technological competency/digital capabilities of OU staff.
