Professional biography

Having completed my MSc - Education (Learning and Technology) degree at the University of Oxford, I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Institute of Educational Technology - OU, under the prestigious Leverhulme doctoral scholarship programme.  During my PhD, guided by Prof. Allison Littlejohn, Prof. Zdenek Zdrahal, and Dr. Simon Cross, I look forward to understanding the strategies employed by finance professionals while working under periods of uncertainty. 
 
Prior to undertaking this academic mission, I was a Lead IT Consultant with 10+ years experience in data analysis and quality assurance across multiple sectors including Energy, CRM, Banking, Healthcare, and Travel. This has helped me build a diverse skill-set comprising of IT consulting, quality management, process improvement, business analysis, and data analysis. 
 
Along with my academic endeavours, I also work at the intersection of learning and technology as the Head of Research at Prayog Education (Non-profit organisation), on an honorary basis. I am responsible for liaising with schools from developing nations (South Africa, India and Nepal) and help them with seamless technology integration. This has been a fulfilling experience so far, as it not only enables me to harness my technology experience along with the theoretical understanding of education and learning acquired during my PhD, but also furthers my mission to do my bit for the society.

Teaching interests

I was fortunate enough to experience the joy of teaching, during my short stint as a Lecturer of Geology, at the Nowrosjee Wadia College, University of Pune (http://nowrosjeewadiacollege.edu.in/), between 2005 -2006. The revelationary insights into student academic perceptions, and learning behavior that I gained during this period, continues to guide my research interests, as I strive to understand the online learning journey of self-regulated learners.
