Lesley-Anne Long: HEAT Director
Lesley-Anne is the creator and driving force
behind HEAT and heads the strategic direction of this ambitious programme. A
former barrister specialising in family law and a Senior Lecturer in Law who
has played a key role in the development of award-winning teaching materials,
Lesley-Anne was Dean of the OU's Faculty of Health
& Social Care for nearly four years. She is a respected expert in the
fields of open & e-learning, international development, child rights and
social justice. Her publication record includes three co-edited books on law
and social work. She travels extensively in her capacity as Director of HEAT,
Deputy Director of the OU’s International Development
Office, and CEO of the African Justice Foundation.
