Hiya

I did this a few years ago and was keen to get started too, I just had to wait for the course website to go live, which was two or three weeks before the course started I think. It's hard waiting when you want to get stuck in!

Good luck, hope you enjoy it.

I've just joined this course too! Really looking forward to it. I've never studied with the OU before but this course sounds right up my street.

Hi Rosie and Robyn, Don’t worry this course its brilliant, you will receive all you need soon I expect. I’m a Romani that had sparse early formal education but the O.U. sorted me out and I got an honours degree in psychology. Then I did the A174 Start Writing Fiction course where one of the exercises is to write the first chapter for a novel. I used this actual chapter to write two full novels that have been published this year. Both are historical romantic thriller novels. My first ‘Viking Sword Saxon Shield’ featured in Amazons top ten historical thriller top 100 and has sold around the world. My second ‘Vikings Saxon Holocaust, has also reached the top 100 historical thrillers on Amazon in both the U.K. and U.S. You can do the same if you want it enough… If any of you A174 guys need any advice contact me on this blog and I’ll try to help.
