Just thought I'd start a group for the November 2011 start for the peeps starting alongside me :)
Thought we could all mingle and it could be a place to go if we need help....
Hope to speak to you all soon :)

Starting AA100 in Feb. Have had a look at reading material and am concerned that exploring 600 year old dead poets and playrights is what I want. Improving my writing skills and communication, yes, but the initial outlook on materials could be a disasterous bore for me. Anyone who has completed this course could perhaps enlighten me. Does it come with a free packet of razor blades or a rope? Anybody who has any info. please help.

Hi Group
Im Sara Lou, 24 from Edinburgh City. After much deep contemplation I had to pass at my offer of joining Edinburgh University to study English Literature. English being my best subject to date so far...
Now to be studying the AA100 in Feb...
Im keen to know anybody who knows abit more about this course, or anyone who done it for that matter. Im well and truly into the reading and writing side of life, I actually enjot it!
Although the thought of some of the content on this course makes me wonder...
'Why are you going to put your self through this?' ;) Haha!
Much Luck
Sara

Hello fellow students,
My name is Monica and I am very interested in meeting with other students in the area. Is anyone based in Kent/Sussex who, like me, is starting in February and would like to meet up and study together?
I have a degree in Italian Studies and currently I am teaching Italian privately. I am looking forward to start the course I have have already started doing some reading on the subject. I would like to share ideas and problems - I am sure we will come across few of them - with you.

Hello All
I'm also having some mixed feelings about the Y180 course, but after some 30 years since any kind of study (Electrical Engineering), I'm just wishing for something to get me back in a "classroom" state of mind (as I said to the lecturer). I truly hope this is it.
And some of the course material is interesting.

Just like David young im an avionics engineer in the air force but in a few years want to leave and become a music teacher. got the books the other day and i have to say after being out of school for 5 years i find i really miss learning stuff i used to love at school. some of it is hard to get your head around but it seems like a proper good course to study initially to get into the swing of things. just been looking at the maddonna like a prayer video and i really wanna know what made her write this song its so bleedin ambiguous its driving me insane.
