Well in the absence of a bespoke Forum Topic for October 2012 starters of AA100 I thought it a good idea to start one!
I have wanted to study History for a while and now finally motivated myself into action to do something about it. Unfortunatly this spur of academic eagerness neatly coincides with the very moment that university fees have sky rocketed, timing is everything I guess!
I am 30 and so still relatively young(ish) and live in Bedford. I have been a soldier for the past 12 years, which at times has been "interesting".
I hope others like myself starting AA100 in Oct 12 will use this forum to meet one another and help make the transition back into higher education a little less daunting!

Hello there,
I am beginning my pathway to my English Literature degree with AA100 this October.
I have just created a closed group on Facebook for anyone here who wishes to join, just search 'OU AA100 October 2012' on Facebook and hopefully it will take you all there.
Or use this link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/142457579228323/
Good luck to all embarking on/continuing with their studies x
Hi all, I am Joss.
I am finally starting my degree about 25 years after I should have...! Also doing the Eng Lit pathway, and really excited as I loved History A level, although perhaps I should gloss over the fact that I dropped English A level...
Good luck to us all!

Hi everyone have just had my books and cds posted through today and im feeling a little bit overwhelmed. Would appreciate any advice/help etc. Is the assignments in the white booklet they ones we have to do and do we just start right now? I feel a right idiot for asking................cheers Karen.
Hi, Also 30 lol, like long walks on the beach, pina cola.. oh wrong intro! Third OU module, passed my first, awaiting results now for the second and looking forward to AA100.
Just beginning the module this week, like a headstart but don't work as far ahead as others because I, (personally), find it counterproductive - will certainly be relieved when the module website finally opens tomorrow!
Good luck to all!
Naomi
