Hey! I've just registered on AA100, really excited about doing it!!
Just wanted to say hello to anyone else who's starting the same time as me, it's always good to know other people that are doing the same thing as you :D
Good luck to everyone starting the course!! x
Hi ! I have also registered to do this course as part of a BA in history. I'm also very excited to start. I'll try to add you on Facebook, but if I struggle to find you, I'm under Sarah Louise Jordan. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Sarah!! PROFOUND apolls.!!! I have only just 'navigated' my way back to this page ..... Christmas and all it's attendant mayhem has just taken up SO MUCH time and energy and money!!
And so, it is with a heavy heart that I am ONLY JUST tackling my TMA3!! I KNOW!! W-h-a-t a lemon.
To be perfectly honest, I feel I am not up to this Degree; it is such a long time since I studied at this level and frankly, my marks are naff. 'Naff' being a scientific term (ahem).
Am I downhearted? Yes! Will I give up? Probably not; it's a matter of self-esteem and pride with me (with most things!) .... I hate giving up. The marks weren't good. The remarks were ..... well, encouraging I suppose.
I blame it on my advanced state of senile decay. And disability. Hmm, it's always bad when a person seeks EXCUSES for just being a total twit!!
All the V. Best with your studies and indeed, the New Year in general. I hope it is good to you in every possible way.
Kind regards,
Marilyn Levey
p.s. I'll look out for you on F.B. Just posted a couple of pix of the bane of my existence. One of my Bengal cats attempting to hault study progress by actually trying to rip-up my notes!!
Hi sarah, and everyone, I also have been accepted to do the course, looking forward to it, waiting for my materials to arrive!!! i am also on facebook, Paula Reynolds, i will try and add you, good luck!!

Hi everyone!
Sorry haven't replied before now but haven't been this way for a while, and didn't realise there were so many replies. I'll look up all up and I'll check out the Facebook group Michael has set up. So nice to see some many people here, especially doing the BA in History, as on the other forum, it seems that most people are doing the AA100 as a start for English Lit. Hope to speak to you all very soon !
Hi All,
I too have enrolled on th AA100 Feb 2013, received by box of tricks today sooo looking forward to getting started.
Good luck everyone.
Hi all,
I've also enrolled on AA100 for Feb 2013 as the start of a BA History. I'm on Faebook should anyone want to add me.
Ash Woods
I'm starting this as part of a BA in history also starting in February. I'll also be 50 in February. My goal is to finish the degree before I become part of the history I'm studying!
The source materials are excellent. |Better than Christmas opening that big box of stuff. Fascinating so far. Listend to Dr Faustus (odd, but fun) and reading the Cleopatra chapter. Glad I bought the 1963 movie a few years ago. Elizabeth Taylor looking her best.
I'm also on Facebook and joined the FB group. Hello everyone!
Hello again,
I forgot to mention that I'm doing an Open Degree, mainly because I could dither as an Olympic sport!
Hey! I'm really excited about starting the AA100 course next week. I think i've got everything ready. Just need to buy my set books on friday... got to hate the pinch that christmas gives you. Has anyone ever attended any of the meetings that OU hold in the Yorkshire region, this is my frist year and i'm hoping to attend any classes they hold in Leeds.
Dani
Hi everyone,
Well - I'm ready to start in February. Have to confess I don't really know why I chose to do this. After all, I'm a college drop out who thought it would be easier to go it alone than stay in the educational system. One strange day in December I woke up and thought I want to do this course so booked it up within a space of a couple of hours.
I was then really excited. More excitement when the books came though. Then, in January, I took a closer look at the books and remembered why I stopped trying to get educated in the first place!! Already feeling a little out of depth. Still - I won't give up. Not this time. I have something to prove to myself.
Hope to get to know some you (or all of you) some more!
And - yep - I'm on Facebook - feel free to add me at shawthingproductions@hotmail.com
Until then, happy studying!
Matt
