Hello,

I am starting AA100 in October and would appreciate recommendations for quiet but inspirational places to study. Preferably such places that provide good coffee :-). In an ideal world New York Public Libary would be transferred to London.

Hi there, I like the Bishopsgate Institute.  It is just outside Liverpool Street Station.  It has recently been remodelled and is now a bright and inviting place to work.  It has a nice coffee shop and also a reference library.  It is right next to Spitalfields so there is always some interesting artwork around and there and it has a lovely sense of history too.  It is my favourite place to have some quiet time and have had some great 'ah ha!' moments there.  I have found the usual coffee shops are usually extended meeting rooms these days and the out of town/local ones are sometimes too full of young families/babies/toddlers to be peaceful enough for some quality study time.  I also like local theatres and small hotels (lobbys).   I believe the Barbican is good too but have not been there.  As most places have a coffee shop these days perhaps a (free to enter) museum might be worth a try.  Grab a quiet and cosy corner and a coffee and away you go.  I am doing L192 (Bon depart) next month and L140 (En Rumbo) in February. Good luck with your studies.
