I'm from Nottingham and due to start U211 in October as well. I'm studying for a BA Hons degreee in English Language and Literature and U211 is one of the compulsory modules. I'm sort of looking forward to it!

Nice to meet you, and here's hoping some more will come along soon enough.
I'm from Coventry and due to start this course in October.
Currently studying towards a humanities degree but letting the study guide me. I've chosen to do this module because I think it looks fascinating but tricky. It also ties in with my work as a teaching assistant supporting children learning English as an additional language. How about others? What attracted you to the course?

I'm from Nottingham and I'm looking forward to starting this course very soon. I completed my AA100 before summer, which was my first OU course. I am currently working towards English Lang & Lit degree. I haven't got my course materials yet, have any of you?
Should be good, looking forward to getting back into studying after this long summer break :)

Greetings from Germany! I`ve just registered for the U211 due to start in Oct. Compulsory component for the BA Hons in Modern Languages. Pretty nervous as I`m a total newbie to OU and haven`t written an essay for uni in absolutely ages but I`m sure it`ll be very insightful.
Not received my materials either, but trying to get into some sort of routine to get back into learning before the course starts. Just watched an episode of "The Adventure of English". V. interesting.
