Who else is starting their OU journey with AA100 this Autumn??

I looked for your group, but only found the group for the 2011. I do want to join though :) Just can't find it lol

I am also starting the course in October.

I am very nervous as have been a full time mum for the last 3years and feeling rather rusty.

Has everyone had their study material?

I know this probably sounds dull but can we make notes in the study material? Also are the assignments shown in the assignment booklet our actual assignments? Im quite nervous.

Hi, I'm starting the AA100 in Oct as well- quite a late joiner so haven't had all my course materials through yet. Have to say I'm absolutely terrified...I'm 40 this year and so it's been a while since I wrote an essay! I'm unsure of what is expected in assignments and for me that's the most scary thing. I've requested to join the Facebook group  :)

Hello people, I too am starting AA100 in October, I received my course materials from the OU last week and having read through I am now getting massively excited :-). I am a newbie to OU study, but received a phonecall yesterday from a lovely lady welcoming me to the OU so feeling really encouraged.

October starter Hayley here. I have just joined the group on FB and am seo excited. I left school at 16 with GCSE and started work in an office when my dream was to be a teacher. Nine years on am giving it a shot and doing a BA Hons in English Lit & Lang and am so proud. I would love to make some friends with fellow students on this course. Hi everyone! I've just found out I'm starting the AA100 in October too!

Although strangely, no one told me I'd been accepted or notified me that I was registered, I just recieved a big box of books through the post and called to find out why! Nice surprise! :)
