Hey all :)
So I'm starting the BA Childhood & Youth degree with the Primary pathway in October. I'm starting with K101, and then my next choice will be E111.
I have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma and I currently work as a TA. So I'm considering doing K101 and E111 together in one year. What's other members recommendations on this?
I don't want to overload myself too much, but I figure E111 may come quite easily to me since it covers pretty much the same as my TA course, but with some sections more in depth. H
So how difficult would 2 modules in one year be, considering I have a very good knowledge of one of them?
Thanks :)
Jade x

Hi, I am in a similar situation to you Jade. I also work as a TA and have signed up for E111 (supporting teaching and learning in schools) and want to try to do E100 at the same time. Just not sure how feasible that is. I did a 10 credit opening course last year and found I didnt need to spend as much time as allocated on each activity more like 20%. I found that i always did more the weeks assignments were due. Is this a reoccuring pattern in other modules?
Like Jade, I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has done two level one courses simultaneously.
Thankyou in advance
Laura
I'm starting E111 in October :)
Thought about doing more than one module but decided to give myself some time & settle into it with the one module.
I'm working as a TA and really looking forward to getting started.
I have picked to do the same modules as you! I have just finished my level 3 and currently work part time a Special needs school.
i was wondering the same i am doing the k101 and want to do the e100 but i am unsure if this will be too much, i have done my level 3 in childrens care learning and development and wonder if this will help me complete any of it a bit quicker than the time allocated,, any advice would be welcome,,
We can all be study buddies together :)
Hi All,
Jusr received my study materials! The start date for E100 is 26 September so some time to look at the books and watch the DVD's!!
Hope you are all well,
Kathy
I also begin on the 26 Sept and am quite apprehensive that I can do my studies and do my 18 hours at school successfully. Anyway I guess it's 'Keep calm and carry on!' Good Luck!
