Hi Everyone,
My name's Natalie, I'm just starting the Y176 understanding children and young people course.
anyone else out there on this course this November.
would be great to get to know a few people.
I'm 30 years old and a post lady from Tunbridge wells in Kent. i'm hoping to re train eventually as a social worker or something similar helping children and famillies.
I don't yet have any children of my own but would like a family soon.
I think this course will be really interesting for me.
Natalie

Hi Natalie,
My name is Sharzah and I have also started the course Understanding Children and Young People.
At the moment am on square one, waiting for my first tutorial.
I am 38 yrs of age ( I know soo old
) I have two children a girl aged 16 and a boy aged 12.
I work as a senior lunchtime supervisor at a Junior Infant school, I am also a parent governor at my local school.
I am also like yourself wanting to work with children and families, maybe through a school or as a social worker.
I hope as we do this course we can help each other and share ideas.....

Hello both! I too started the course in November and am scared!!! Have not done anything like this since I left school and as I am 34 that was quite some time ago! Really nervous about starting the first assignment in the next couple of weeks. How are you both finding it? I have two children, Megan is 10 and Jac is 5 so they are keeping me very busy
Hope that you are enjoying so far.
Jules
Hi All,
My name is Innocent. I am hoping to start this course in october but not really sure yet as I really need to get a feel of it from you guys.
I am 36 and already studied social work with OU and could recall staying up many nights cracking those scary TMAs.
I really will appreciate if someone could give me the first TMA question... Need to attempt and explore it before registering.
Many Thanks
Innocent
