I've just found this forum and thought I'd sign up as I'd like to find a writing partner. To tell you a little about me, I'm 34 years old and am studying for a BA (Hons) Humanities which I hope to complete by the end of next year.

My first course with the OU was the level 1 creative writing course which I really enjoyed, however I didn't feel confident enough to continue with creative writing at levels 2 & 3...something which I now regret.

I enjoy reading fantasy novels (Patrick Rothfuss is my idol), YA fiction especially distopian fiction or something with an LGBT theme. I haven't really started my own writing yet, my ideas seem to fizzle out quickly and that's part of the reason why I think it would be useful to find a writing partner.

 Hallo Gabriele and Fiona

What a good idea to find a writing partner. Love to write but need a kick  up the proverbial to keep me going, self discipline is not my strong forte.

Managed to complete A215 and loved it but decided  against a third level there appeared to be a substantial amount of script writing which is not my interest.

Reading ranges far and wide:  Biography, social history, poetry, fiction crime (esp. Andrew Taylor/Peter Robinson)/chick lit./some literary,(esp. Dickens) psychology. Love Margaret Forster/Sharon Penman/Alison Weir/ Joanne Harris......hope you get the picture.

Like writing short stories. haven't got the patience for long novel writing(yet).

     Happy to hear from anyone.

Dear Patricia, dear Fiona,

this sounds like we already have a little group together. Honestly I don't think any of us could handle more than two or three texts in depth. I'm in the middle of a mystery thriller novel for youngsters myself, approching the end spurt....

Would you like to send any samples of your texts so that we can see how we fit together?

Here comes my e-mail adress as I think commuunications might be easier over mail.
