I'm in Newport South Wales, I was a mamanger at a children's provate nursery for 6 years, but haven't worked a few years due to a long term illness. However this course is my way of taking back control and having some fun.

I've just started Y183 today and am starting DD131 and DSE141 together in May. I'm really excited. I have my study space, my stationery and passion. Currently I still have my fingernails. That one could change though.

I'm doing this course in May too and looking forward to it. I did DD100 a few years ago, I wasn't sure at the time whether I was ready to take my studies further to do a degree but I feel the time is right now, and will be counting this course towards Childhood and Youth Studies.

I'm Sara, from scotland, just discovered this forum. I'm started this course, today with my 1st day and I'm just getting to grips with all this new material etc.
I haven't studied for almost 18 years since I left school. I have 2 children, both at primary school and figured it was time for me to get back to school myself.
Looking forward to getting to know you all. I will be attending the tutorial in Edinburgh at the end of May for anyone else going, give me a shout and we can meet up.
