Hi Everyone

Materials are due to be despatched on 14th Oct but I have already received mine so keep an eye out for the postman! (Courier)

Website is due to open on the 20th Oct so watch that space on StudentHome

As we get closer to the start date there are other groups and forums opening up which may be of some help.

There is a Start Studying forum at

Materials despatch is sheduled for 14th Oct and Module website for the 20th

I expect most of you know this stuff already

You can also access an OU e-mail address form student home and give it a personal tag

There are some good deals available for software upgrades from MS and others and your ".ac.uk" address will be acepted as proof of being a student

You can also start a personal blog if you want

Hi Les,

I am a young student of the OU at 18, and am just about to embark on DSE141 in November; on route to a Bsc (Hons) Psychology. I am excited, but also rather nervous as I have never actually studied the subject before.

How much experiance do you have with the topic? Also where are you based?

Be great to here from others starting the module.

I could access the link but couldn't join as it's a closed group. Do we have to wait until we actually start the course before we can join?

My starting date for DSE141 is in May 2012.

You will get more access rights as you course opening gets nearer

if you want to check out some pre course materials on OpenLearn

Starting with psychology (Y163_2)

Psychological research, obedience and ethics
(DSE141_1)

These will give you a look at how things work on OU and a good introduction

Keep an eye out for new forums on here and also on facebook
