Hi I'm starting the e111 course on the 5th October just wondering if everyone has there placements for 5 hours a week yet ??
I have asked for mine at my kids school and been told no problem .just wondering what information I have to give them as I've had no form from the ou to confirm my choice of school or anything for the head teacher to sign to say I'm working there 5 hours a week ?? Any help would be appreciated

I'm Sue and I'll be starting the same course in October. I am working at school and have asked OU to send me the form my head teacher needs to sign to confirm my working hours and to confirm her agreement to support me during my studies (an OU requirement). I have given my head teacher details of the course (all the information I have from the website) and she has agreed to give me whatever support she can. At the moment I am waiting for the form to arrive but will chase it up if I don't receive it in the next week.
Other than that I'm in the process of going through my Student Finance application and am also waiting for a form from them!

Hi, My name is Sam, I am 21 years old and I am also starting on the same course at the same time. I have my placement at a local school and am just waiting for my CRB to come through. I havent recieved anything from the OU. I am going to leave it for a couple of weeks and if i havent recieved anything i will be contacting them.

I'm also starting this course in October, I recently completed my level 3 teaching assistant qualification and realised that i now wish to go further with my career, so here I am. I had a placement in my son's school for that course and plan on continuing my placement in the same school for this course too. How do we get hold of the paper work required for the head teacher? Or is it not compulsory to complete this paperwork?
