 Hi there.

Has anybody studied either T211 or T307, or hopefully both? These are the two design courses that I want to study as part of my BEng Hons degree.  I began with the ou in 2009 and have so far studied T173, T191, the two residentials, ST174, MST121, and have just done the exam for T207. Hopefully if all went well, next year I was thinking of doubling up to speed my degree along. Would it be possible for me to do both T211 and T307, starting in Feb 13.

Thank you.  Look forward to hearing your views.

Gary.

Hello,

I have done T211 and T307, but not together, as that would mean doing two 60 credit courses which is full time study, with no chance of learning from one before the other, though there is overlapping on some subjects and tools. The 'tools' from T211 are reintroduced in T307, so it helped to have covered them before (the T211 DVD was given out again in T307 for tools and case study examples to draw arguments from).

I expect some have done it, but expect the study rate may feel stressfull, I did them in different years, though did manage to combine them alongside 30 credit modules. I found the T211 more practical, T307 took a lot of time for thinking and researching, both for the project and module TMA question analysis and essay writing.

Best regards

Martin

Hi

I've just completed T211 and will start T307 in February alongside T397 which I have just started this month.  T211 was relatively pain free for a 60 point course.  It was my first Level Two Course and my first 60 Pointer and I found the workload about the same as my engineering Level 1 30 Point Course.  I guess it depends how much spare time you have for studying.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you both for your comments, which I've taken on board.  I guess after I get my result for t207 I'll have to decide if I can find those extra hours between work and family time to commit to both modules. Would be nice to bring that graduation forward a year though.  Best of luck with your studies. Gary
