This museum is established on a site which was once a home to the Cannock Chase’s colliery which provided training for thousands of young people for the coal mining industry. The museum explores social history, domestic life as well as industrialisation and military role of this area. Please meet at the main entrance of the museum. We will finish at 3.00 p.m., but members can stay on until museum closes. Coventry is a the birth place of the British cycle & motor industries. This museum is designated as “having a collection of national importance”. Please meet at the main entrance. There will be plenty of things to see and members can stay on until the museum closes at 5.00 p.m. Refreshments are available at Esquires Coffee House at the main entrance.
