I haven't had a graduation ceremony yet and I'm on the final module of my second OU degree (I already have a BScHons.Open). WHY? Because there is no ceremony convenient for me to attend which would not involve an overnight hotel stay and also to pay for any guests who I might want to attend, plus the cost of extensive travel to the venue. I exist - and I mean exist not live-on Pension Credit and I hate pleading poverty but were it not for help with the fees I would not be able to study at all...so it means receiving my Certificate in the post. I plan to have a little party at home for friends some time when the weather is better but at present I'm struggling to pay all the bills.I don't have or want TV, which saves paying a license fee, but now its' BT and their astronomical bill, only £10 of which was the cost of calls! Does anyone have a suggestion how I can receive broadband without a BT landline? I wish the OU would realise that we are not all millionaires!!
