A warm welcome to all OU graduates
The Association of Open University Graduates (AOUG) is an independent Association run by OU graduates, open to any OU graduates. AOUG invite you to get in touch to find out more about the Assocation and to join us at any of our events. See our website or contact us by email.
Friends and family are also always welcome to attend all our events as guests of AOUG members.
The Association has been providing fellowship and support to OU graduates and the Open University itself since 1988 and the following are our official aims and objectives:
- To promote the interests of the graduates of The Open University and the standing of Open University Degrees and Awards.
- To support and promote the continuing development of The Open University.
- To promote and encourage the development of local groups of Open University graduates both in the United Kingdom and throughout the World.
- To promote educational, charitable and social activities for members at national, regional and local levels both within the UK and throughout the World.
- To provide members with such services and facilities as they require in the furtherance of these objects.

Lunch will be available cost £10.00.. Admission to AGM :- £5.00. Friends and partners are welcome. Refunds can usually be given if you let us know that you can’t come. Tour of the Lady Haig Poppy Factory 9 Warriston Road, Edinburgh. Meet at 11.am at the Factory . After a short presentation about Lady Haig, the founder, the manager will tell us about the history and shows us round the factory. There will be an opportunity to talk to the mainly older people who actually make the poppies. Lunch afterwards at a nearby cafe at Canonmills. Cost: £3.00 (as a donation).
