Are you currently a School Governor or looking to become one

If you can answer yes to this question then please join the new group for School Governors.

I am currently going through the enrollment process myself and would like to hear from others on:

  • How easy it was to find information about becoming a School Governor
  • How easy did you find the joining process
  • How easy it was to find out about local training courses
  • How useful those courses were
  • Have you found any other courses that are not provided by the local education authority that you found useful, what were they and why did you find them useful
  • How challenging or otherwise have you found/are finding the role
  • What do you feel you are getting from the role on a personal/professional level
  • What do you feel is the most rewarding part of the role so far
  • What encouragement/support do you get from your employeer

I could go on asking questions for ages, but if I do, you wont carry on reading.

So please join the group and give a short introduction about yourself, your school and your role as a Governor.
