I run an independent film-making group called Norfolk Video Productions based in and around Norwich and Norfolk. I write screenplays, and produce, direct, film and edit my own movies, assisted by a group of friends, many of whom are trained actors seeking showreel opportunities.
This year, 2012, I discovered the OU is running a course on digital film-making. It seemed like an opportunity to gain some professional knowledge that might help me produce better films. My last two scripted dramas achieved two-star awards at the British International Amateur Film Festivals in 2011 and 2012. I hope to do better with the next ones.
I hope this group might attract the interest of actors, writers, film-technicians and anyone else keen on making movies to a high standard, with no standing budget.
