Access To Success - Understanding Health

hiya im still trying to get my head around this site too im trying not to stress myself out too much haha! im starting the (Y178) in september are you? isn't too long away either arghhh, had my pack through about two weeks ago the dvd helps alot gives u info on other people who have done courses and how they managed their time etc, i havent been in education for 2 years i can hardly member essay structures im hoping then to go on to do a degree in health and social but the mental health pathway :)

Its not the easiest site to get around I dont think! Lol. Yes Im starting the Y178 but it says it starts 1st November?! I got my registration forms today and the finance forms, so much has to be done before I send them back, they need signing off and i need someone to certify I am who I am! Eeeek! Ive not done anything except a NVQ I did almost 5 yrs ago, so im bricking it! Lol. Im doing the K101 after this ( hopefully) and then go on to uni for a Midwifery degree! xx

I am also a newbie here and trying to get my head around this site to, I have just applied to do the Y718 course through access to success route, then hopefully the K101, I sent all my forms off last week, I'm so looking forward to it but so scared to, last time I went to college was about 17yrs ago am 35 now! x

Hey Hun, sorry for late reply, this thing doesnt tell me when I've got a new comment, still trying to get my head round using it! Lol... I have had my funding confirmed! Yippie!! Says it starts 1st nov.. Do u know how long it runs for, and if it automatically runs over to the k101? As far as im aware K101 runs from October and Feb, I need to start feb for my timing for uni entry but have been told that i have to complete the access to success before I can do the K101. xx

I've just started! As soon as the pack came through I started reading, the module website is open so I had a look at that and my Tutor has contacted me to say that she will call me tomorrow! :) Exciting x

hi is anyone starting or done the access to success course as i'm starting it in march may need help as not study for years so please please anyone.

Hi. Just sent all my forms back to study (Y178)understanding health, with view to follow that with (k101) an intro to health and social care via the access to succsess route. The kind lady on the phone attached the forms,in pdf and word, so i could print them off,so as not to miss the boat for finance,then went on to tell me that the final day ,for financial acceptance,has been extended from 18th of feb , to the 26th of feb, so hopefully havent missed out!
looking forward to it, but with a fair bit of aprehension, got 1 'level and 7 dodgy cse's back in 1979!!!! when they could still cane you , for not doing your homework,,, i wonder now what is going to be more painful!!!! good luck all.
