Disgo Tablet 6000 Touch Screen Tablet
Eddington Hook is a specialist mail order and internet bookseller which has been supplying set books to Open University students since the OU set books scheme started in 1971. Congratulations to Emily George, of Kincardineshire, who correctly answered that Eddington Hook sells The Good Science Guide for £11.49 on its website. The competition received in excess of 4,000 entries.

should the answer include P+P price?

Robyn Bateman - Sat, 14/01/2012 - 12:01

No, Richard, just the price of the book for the answer please. Good luck!

And for those not keen on the price, you don't have to enter the competition. Platform runs competitions on a regular basis so keep your eyes peeled for the next one, there are a variety of prizes up for grabs.

Thanks, Robyn (Platform team)

Well, its going to be free so its hard to complain, but I do wish the prize had been something of a higher value and higher quality.

Jonathan Briggs - Fri, 13/01/2012 - 09:25

The Disgo 6000 is a very very cheap tablet.

It has had really bad reviews (just follow the link provided above and note the number of 1 star reviews!)

I'm not sure I'd want one even it it was given away - this comp would be so much more appealing if the prize wasn't described, by reviewers, as Chinese Junk (and not in the nautical sense).

So, how about a decent prize?

Rachael Frankland - Thu, 09/02/2012 - 15:22

its a competition.. the main thing of a competition is that you dont have to enter if you dont like the prize! buy your own IT.

Seamus Dunne - Tue, 10/01/2012 - 21:37

Why does this link try to set up a new email account for me???

Robyn Bateman - Wed, 11/01/2012 - 10:01

Hi Seamus, which link are you referring to? If you're trying to email us to enter the competition just send an email to Platform to this address: platform-editor@open.ac.uk

Best of luck, Robyn
