Did anybody attend any festivals this summer? No matter how big or small! Would you recommend it or go again? Who were your highlights?

Are there any festivals anybody would recommend that's coming up later this year?

I've missed out on not going to any this year although watched a lot of Glastonbury coverage on the good old BBC earlier this year. Not quite the same as being there but at least I stayed dry/mud free. My TV highlights were Coldplay, Elbow and Queens of the Stone Age.

I went to Glastonbury, one day of Wireless (Pulp headlining), The Big Chill and Reading Festival this year. I think my highlights were Queens of the Stone Age at Glasto, Pulp at Wireless, Chemical Brothers at the Big Chill and Muse playing Origin of Symmetry at Reading! No more festivals for me this year sadly. I used to go to a small local one at the beginning of September but it's been cancelled due to the land rent going up.

I went to Glastonbury this year but completely ruined myself on the Thursday night before the festival started and ended up missing pretty much the whole Friday day time.

OOPPS!

I have only been to Glasto this year, I really wanted to go to Global as the Drum & Bass scene was huge this year but sadly none of my friends like that kind of music - and a festival aint much fun if you're on your todd!

I love the little festivals, they're always much cheaper you can bring your own booze and there some amazing talent kicking about. I went to Charlbury festival last year and it was brilliant!

My highlights of Glastonbury were spending an evening at stone circle with some guys on the bongos. They were awesome and were in sync with one another even though they didn't know each other.

Not sure if I'd do Glastonbury again just because it's so huge and it's a long one - It took me a week to recover!

I don't know why I put the question out there now - all it has done is made me very jealous! My housemate always blags a VIP ticket for Leeds festival through some contacts he has so I get to hear how amazing bands like Muse, The National and The Strokes were from the side of the stage.

He would sympathise with you Corrin as he missed half of one of the days at Leeds after getting a little excitable on his homemade Skittles Vodka...

Which actually reminds me of a tale from Glasto a couple of years ago when Blur headlined... A colleague of mine, who is probably the biggest Blur fan I've ever met, was really looking forward to seeing them for the first time... So much so he got so drunk on Blue Nun that he somehow fell asleep by the side of the stage just before they started and woke up at 5am!

Where do you live Amy? Unfortunately there's not many local festivals down here in North Devon, certainly none that take my fancy anyway. :(

Hi Ben,

I went to Glastonbury this year and V-Festival last year. (In fact I have been to them both a few times now). I love festivals! I have just got tickets for the Isle of Wight Festival for next year. I haven't been before but really looking forward to it!

Tickets have gone on pre-sale and since there is no Glastonbury next year, I think it will be the next best thing!

Love the festival stories on here - I'm sure there are plenty more to share.
