For more than 40 years the OU has been transforming the lives of millions of people by using the technology of the day to help them to access high-quality education. And, says OU Vice-Chancellor Martin Bean, being online will increasingly aid people’s ability to access education and a wide variety of other services.
In this video message Martin explains how giving an hour of your time to help someone online can transform lives - and how he'll be introducing his young daughter to the importance of cyber safety, as part of a campaign to get the nation online by the end of 2012.
