O U S A Central Executive Committee Elections
Nominations are now open for elections to OUSA's Central Executive Committee.
This committee includes the officers of the Association i.e. the President, Deputy President and Vice Presidents along with representatives for geographical areas. This includes the Student Association Representative (S A R) for Scotland. The S A R for Scotland acts as a communication channel between O U S A centrally and the Scottish Assembly / Executive (of which they are an ex-officio member) and ensures the proper representation of O U S A members with Scotland.
The committee meets 3 times a year at weekends in Milton Keynes (accommodation provided and travel expenses paid). Positions on the C E C are now elected for a 24 month term of office.
The election process for the C E C is slightly different from the Assembly. As well as completing the nomination form you will also have to obtain the support of 4 other students for your nomination. All candidates will be invited to participate in hustings enabling voters to ask questions of them. In the case of the S A R for Scotland this will take place online by means of forum so all questions will be asked and responded to in writing. In the case of the Association Officers there will also be Live Hustings at the forthcoming O U S A Conference in June.
