Shetland students' social nights planned

Are you a student in Shetland? Shetland College is working in partnership with Shetland Arts to set up a weekly students' night in the Mareel Cafe-Bar, Lerwick, as a means for all students across Shetland to socialise.

Organisers want to hear from any students who would like to get actively involved in planning student nights at Mareel.

They hope to attract students from Shetland College, The Open University, NAFC, Adult Learning, Train Shetland and fifth/sixth year school students.

"With so many college students studying part-time, or through a community Learning Centre, these types of events are important because they bring the student body together," says organiser Greg McCarron.

"We are hoping to have our first committee meeting as soon as possible, so if you'd like to be part of it please get in touch."

For more information see Get involved in Mareel students' night or email greg.mccarron@uhi.ac.uk to register your interest.
