I am near the end of A330, Myth at the moment and as someone whose interest is primarily in Roman field arcaheology, and whose professional interest sometimes involves dealing with artefact crime I was hesitant about using A330 as part of a degree that is intended to further my professional interests. However the research done for A330 clearly links it into the physical world and has taken my interest in Roman history out in many different directions now. It's going to cost me a fortune in books the rate I am going!(not the course books, but those to continue my interest and studies after A330). An absolutely fascinating subject that Jessica Hughes highlights with her own infectious interest.
Dont for one moment think that Classical Mythology doesnt have a great deal to do with the tangible, with archaeology and social/political history. As Jessica Hughes shows, its a great subject and one of the best I have studied, so far....
Note to OU: another 30 credit level 3 classics course is needed. A330, A397 and ? nothing.
