DD101 Oct, Study Group

I am starting DD101 in Oct, age 21, based in Essex, I was wondering if anyone else is based in Essex and would like to form a study group, or if anyone would like to form a study group online?

I am looking at my study materials and I have no clue at the moment what is going on! The first TMA is confusing me already, it doesn't start for a few weeks so I should be ok because we will get help then, but I'm still worried!

Hi,

I am in the same position as you.  I received my study materials today for the DD101 - introducing the social sciences.  I was shocked by the amount of materials and trying to get my head around it.  I'm not in Essex but not too far away in Cambridge so would be interested in a study group definately.

I started reading my Learning Companion and gave up lol... I will give a read of some bits in the next few weeks. Try and get ahead I've been told by other students.

Hiya                              

I found the study materials daunting too! I've tried to start early because I know its gunna be hard to get to grips with time management to start with. So far all I've done is watch the dvd & have taken down notes using mind maps I find them easy just to get through it all. The learning companion pretty much repeats what the dvd shows I think its just if you learn stuff better visually or through reading think they've put just audio cds in there too. What I nearly missed aswell can't remember where I read it either the learning companion or 1 of the guides is that they want you to write how you felt about doing the tma sure it said something about going towards the marks. I'm worried about essay writing haven't done anything like that in years! :-s

Hey ladies and gentlemen I to am on the DD101 course but based out of Salisbury. I was advised today by my tutor Caroline Carrell to join my tutor forum anyone any idea where I find this.
