Hey Holly, I'm starting this in Oct too. I'm twice your age, with a family, own business + a part-time job - I'm TERRIFIED, but it looks like there is plenty of support around. We'll be OK! My nearest centre is Milton Keynes, how about you?

Emma Donald - Fri, 24/08/2012 - 19:56

Hi everyone

My name is Emma I'm 29 with 2 beautiful daughters who are 9 & 6 ! Im from Derby and it would be great to meet some other students who live near by as well as getting to know the Psychology community. This is my first year and studying DD101 this year and my plan is to go onto my Doctorate or poss Phd once completed the degree so know i need to get a minimum of 2:1 to get into my chossen university.

Look forward to meeting you all soon and good luck xx

Deborah Goodwin - Wed, 29/08/2012 - 15:50

Hi Emma - I am in Beeston, Nottingham, am also 29 and I have a 10yr old daughter and a 2yr old son.

I am looking to do a similar thing in that I also hope to gain a Phd eventually.  I am interested in Clinical or Education Pyschology but am hoping the degree will help me find the area I like best.  Have you studied recently? I feel a little 'out of the loop' education wise!

I am also wondering how I am ever going to fit studying around work, kids and life in general!

Good luck with your studies x

Kayleigh Baldwin - Thu, 30/08/2012 - 22:19

 Hi Everyone,

I am Kayleigh and I am also starting DD101 in October. I am rather nervous as I do not know what to expect of this course as of yet. I am 21 and live in South East London. I am unemployed and currently moving around alot between friends houses as I do not have a permanent residence. I am hoping my life and complications do not affect my ability to complete this course. I am looking forward to starting this course and getting to know you guys on here.

Good Luck to you all! :)

Dan Martin - Sat, 01/09/2012 - 15:49

Hey Everyone,

Dan here, i'm 21 and from east sussex. I was feeling quitely confident about this whole thing until i received my package of course materials today. AH! Now the nerves are setting in. I'm most confused about the TM01 thingy that was enclosed but I hope all comes to light as we progress. I'm currently unemployed but doing work experience so I'm sure i'll have plenty of time to study.

Good luck everyone. :]

Hi All

My name is Mark I am 28 and am from South Yorkshire. I am also starting DD101 in October. Mixed emotions at the moment as to how I am going to cope with the demands on the course without face to face tuition. Would be interested to hear from anyone who lives fairly close who would be interested in setting up a study group.

I currently work in education with students who have a range of issues at a vocational training centre.

Good luck all

Mark
