Hi Nikki, I'm on both of those modules too, i'd like to have a study group! However I'm from Essex so it'll have to be online only :)

Hi Nikki,

I've just received my textbooks for the DE131 today my initial excitement quickly faded into what can only be described as panic! Would be great to chat with you both and anyone else to see how people are finding it. Im in London though so again online only....

Hi Claire

I'm starting these modules too, got my study material through last week the book is really interesting! I'm also in Glasgow, where in Glasgow are you?

Melissa Murray - Thu, 13/09/2012 - 12:49

Hi Nikki

Yes, would be interested in the online study group. Have had a go at writing the TMA 1 report for DSE 141,  but not sure how accurate it is, as I think there is a preparation report to help you complete this, so I'm getting away ahead of myself, lol.

Nicola Slater - Sat, 15/09/2012 - 16:16

Lol I have only looked at the books I was mailed yesterday and it does seem a little daunting but also very exciting. I am hopefully going to be staring a plan for the TMA 01 soon if time allows so I can keep myself a head of the game a little and not get caught short of time!

Hi Nikki et al,

I am also starting these courses in October and can't wait!

I'd love to join an online study group or local study group (I live in Milton Keynes).

Has everyone started reading the 'Investigating Psycholgy' textbook? It's really interesting!

Vicki

Melissa Murray - Thu, 13/09/2012 - 13:20

Yes Vicki, I'm reading a bit every night as I'm finding it really interesting!

Found the results of the Milgram experiment totally shocking (pardon the pun!)

Victoria Allin - Thu, 13/09/2012 - 21:38

Lol! I love a good pun!

Milgram is my favorite part so far. How far do you think you would have gone?

I think this module is going to 'spark' a lot of interesting debates :)

Samantha Mathie - Fri, 14/09/2012 - 11:13

I'm reading the texbook everyday on my lunch, I knew it was going to be interesting but some of the bits I've read so far have me hooked! I really hope the rest of the course is this interesting.

I'm in London but it would be great to have an online group going so that we can chuck ideas around.

Sam.

Hi Debbie,

On the Student homepage under the module headers is a link called 'materials' which will take you to a page where you can track your delivery. Mine was mailed on the 7th but it does say to allow 10 days. As you say, hopefully it will come soon.

Gillian Duncan - Sat, 15/09/2012 - 11:49

Hi Nikki, i am enrolled on both of those and would love a study group. Support is essential i think and we are all in the same boat! I am in a small town called Montrose on the north east of scotland but think that an online group would be just as beneficial.

I am so excited but terrified. Wanted to do this degree for a really long time so have been out of study for 20 odd years!

Am sure this will be a fantastic adventure!

Hiya to all that has replied. I honestly did not expect so many people to be on the same course. Actually I'm not sure what I expected.

The study group I wish to form will be online based and I would be happy to help anyone who is struggling with anything, that is of course if I am not struggling myself. I live in Durham but am happy for anyone studying these modules to join. Any one who lives close by however dont be afraid to say so...

Good luck to everyone!

Nicola Slater - Sat, 15/09/2012 - 16:22

To all above,

I have already set up a group for those who are interested in being part of a study group. If so just click on it to become a member.

Thanks Nikki x

Rachael Fisher - Mon, 17/09/2012 - 23:09

 Hi there everyone!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that had panic overtake the excitement when the materials arrived. I'm doing both units starting October and would love to feel like I'm not alone. I can't get my head around these forums just yet so that's something I need to get sorted ASAP. I'm based in Sheffield so would love some online study buddies
